Golden Valley Christian Church

Robert Burns penned, "Oh would some Power the gift to give us, to see ourselves as others see us." If this could be true, would it make a difference in your life, or even a difference in the world? Perhaps we would not be so judgmental of others, and even find that others might make better decisions.

September 20th is "Back-to-Church" Sunday. Each member of our congregation will have a designated pew to fill, and we will begin a five-week study series, "I Love Sundays." A wedding shower will be held for Nancy Snider on the 27th, at 3:00 PM.

Our speaker last Sunday was Chad Puckett, Director of Show-Me Christian Youth Home in La Monte, Missouri. He gave a synopsis of the home, telling that nearly 2000 children have called Show-Me their "home" since 1967. His message was entitled "Why do Things Happen?" using the story of the blind man, from John 9:1-5.

The Bible challenge question: Why did Leah give Reuben that name? (Genesis 29:31-32)
