Golden Valley Christian Church

There is a strange fact about the Bible; no matter how well-versed you may be in the scriptures, each time you open the Good Book, there seems to be some piece of information you have missed.  This may be the design of the Bible to encourage people to read it.  Golden Valley Christian Church is starting a unique study of the Bible, in a series called "The Story," that will be used in sermons, Sunday School classes, and home study.  To be a true Christian, it is essential to understand the Bible.  God still has laws we must obey, and if we do not know what they are, it will be impossible to do God's will.  This study will begin on September 28th, and we invite you to join us in this wonderful journey through the Bible.  It is also fall-cleaning time, and a workday at GVCC has been scheduled for September 13th, starting at 9 AM.  The more people helping, the quicker the work will be done.

Due to Bro. Tim and Georgia taking a well-earned vacation, GVCC welcomed a guest speaker on Sunday morning.  Mr. Bill Ragland, speaking for Gideons International, brought not only a video, but also shared information about the work of the Gideons.  One of their projects is to get Bibles into the hands of high school students, helping them to understand God's word.  We pray for their success.

The Bible challenge question is:  "What happened to Dagon, the idol god of the Philistines, when the Ark of the Covenant was placed in his temple?'"  (I Samuel 5:2-5)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Our Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone #660-890-0252), and our website is www.goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
