An internal memo issued by Western Union, in 1876, stated: "The telephone has too many shortcomings to be seriously considered as a means of communications. This device is inherently of no value to us." If only these executives could see what has occurred with the telephone in the last 140 years! Compare that with the Bible, a book that has survived so much turmoil, and has still remained the same for over two thousand years.

 

A new school year is upon us! We have barely finished our 2016 Vacation Bible School, yet our VBS director is already preparing for next year's event; now THAT is efficiency! On August 26th, a group from GVCC will be going to Springfield to see the Springfield Cardinals take on the NW Arkansas Naturals.

Bro. Tim's message used the scripture reference of 1 Timothy 4:1-5, entitled "A.B.P." Knowing God's Word, will prepare us to face anything. By accepting the truth of God's Word, feeding our spiritual hunger, and not allowing ourselves to be led astray, we will "Always Be Prepared."
