Golden Valley Christian Church

By the end of this month, one-half of the year 2016 will be gone.  The old question arises, "Where has the time gone?"  More importantly, what have we accomplished in the first half of this year?  We are only given so many days in our lifetime; it is up to each of us to choose what we do with those days.  Just remember, we have an almighty God watching and knowing what we do.

On Memorial Day, Bro. Tim and Georgia hosted a holiday cookout for the church family.  There was a good attendance to enjoy the barbequed hamburgers and hot dogs, and all the trimmings.  We thank the Randalls for the hospitality and the fellowship that was enjoyed.  Last Sunday was the fifth Sunday of the month, and there was no Children's Church; this gives the Children's Church teachers a rare chance to sit through the morning services.

"Why Remember" was the message Bro. Tim brought last Sunday.  One of the main points is for us to remember how much God has blessed us.  We, as people of this great nation, should always remember those who sacrificed on the battlefield for our freedom.  We also need to remember the sacrifice of Jesus, on the cross, to give us salvation.

Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM; morning worship is at 10:30.  Our minister is Tim Randall (office phone #660-890-0252), and our website is www.goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
