Golden Valley Christian Church

Every Sunday in church should be special, but there are some that are even more special than others. This past Sunday was such a day at the Golden Valley Christian Church. When the invitation was offered, six people answered the call; five transferred membership, and one was baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The angels in heaven were rejoicing with the GVCC congregation on this wonderful morning. The six people were warmly welcomed into the church, and we give God the praise and glory.

GVCC is collecting cans of chili beans and/or refried beans to take to the West Central Christian Service Camp in LaMonte. The Wednesday night ladies study on "Church History: What We Believe and Why" continues, at 7 PM, in the fellowship hall. We are also participating in filling baby bottles with pocket change for Door of Hope.

Bro. Tim's message, taken from Joshua 24:1-28, was entitled "Choose for Yourselves." This was Joshua's final address to the people. Joshua reviewed Israel's history, reminding them of how God had taken care of them. He tried to give them confidence and a challenge in choosing whether to serve God or idols. Joshua declared that he and his household would serve the Lord. We have the same challenge today.
