Golden Valley Christian Church

What a wonderful Mother's Day celebration the Golden Valley Church held!  On Saturday, some of the men and children of the church washed cars for the mothers who brought them to the church parking lot.  Sunday morning, a men's group blessed us with a special song entitled "Mommy Loves Us."  We discovered that our men are not only excellent singers, but also, good actors.  It was a true delight to listen to them and watch their antics.  There is no doubt God loves good fun.  The children in the church handed each mother a little inspirational book.  All the GVCC mothers thank those who made the day so special.

Bro. Tim's message was about Biblical mothers and the influence they had on their children.  One story involved a young woman that marries a man who is not a spiritual leader.  The couple has a son, and the father eventually disappears from the narrative.  The grandmother becomes involved, and the two ladies motivate this young man to develop an authentic faith in the Lord Jesus.  Later, a missionary enters the picture and takes the young man on a missionary journey.  Of course, this is the story of Eunice, Lois, Timothy, and the apostle Paul, of the Bible.  It is a mother's duty and privilege to instill in their children a working faith in the Lord.

The Bible challenge question is:  "What was the statue in King Nebuchadnezzar's dream made of?'"  (Daniel 2:32-33)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Our Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Our full-time minister is Bro.
