Golden Valley Christian Church

There are some things that happen in our world that simply cannot be explained by logic.    Nick Jans, author of the book, “A Wolf called Romeo,” recounts the true story of the interaction of a wolf and the residents of Juneau, Alaska.  A wild wolf appeared in the suburbs of Juneau, interacting with the dogs of that area, actually playing with them, contrary to the normal behavior of wolves.  He never showed the predatory nature of his species, being a docile creature.  Living in the Juneau area for six years, he captured the hearts of the people, who named him Romeo.  Unfortunately, hunters killed the wolf. The local residents were devastated and erected a plaque honoring Romeo.  "The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling, together;..” Isaiah 11:6 (NIV)

Golden Valley Christian Church will be holding a revival April 23-25.  In anticipation of the coming revival, Bro. Tim’s message was entitled “What Brings Revival,” with scripture from Deuteronomy.   This book tells how a new generation had arisen since the Israelites had left Egypt.  Moses was admonishing the people to return to the Lord and obey Him.  God remembers His children then and today, and will help us return to him.  The people of that time needed a revival, as do the people of this age.  God will even be happier for a revival of His people than we will.  The Lord expects and demands our obedience.

The Bible challenge question:  Which one of Joseph’s sons received the blessing from Jacob? (Gen. 48:17-20)
