Golden Valley Christian Church

There are many days that are so special for Christians, but Easter is the most special of all holidays.  Remembrance of the day our Savior arose from the grave should be the greatest celebration on earth.  The Golden Valley Christian Church did this with enthusiasm.  Starting the morning, thanks to the men of the church who did all of the cooking, a multitude of people enjoyed a delicious breakfast with all of the trimmings.  The children enjoyed an egg hunt that ended up with their baskets brimming. It was truly a wonderful start to a glorious day.  The food and fellowship could not be beaten!

We are looking forward to our revival, featuring “The Texans,” which will be starting the morning of Sunday, April 23rd, with evening services on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, at 7:00 PM.  There will be singing and preaching, with activities for our youth each night.  We welcome all to come and enjoy this event with us.

The Easter worship service continued as joyfully as the earlier events.  GVCC is blessed to have a number of youngsters, and they shared an energetic action song, “Look at Jesus.”  The congregation always loves to see our youngsters perform, thanks to Melynne Jones and the group that helps her.  We were also blessed with two other musical selections.  The quartet sang, by request, “I Bowed on my Knees and Cried ‘Holy’,” and Georgia Randall sang “I’ve Just Seen Jesus.”  Bro. Tim’s message was “What the Resurrection Means to People.”  During the message, we had two very personal testimonies from Mark Radtke and Anna Tucker.  God loves us so much, He sent His Son to give us salvation.  What people need is not “religion,” but a personal relationship with our Savior.
