As you drive around Clinton, have you noticed, in parts of the city, the many roofing signs in the yards?  On February 6th of this year, sometime after 9:00 p.m., parts of Clinton received a massive hail storm.  Along with the hail was lightning, thunder, wind, and freezing rain. The accompanying noise of the large hail stones hitting the roof, could have startled the most serene individual.   It seems this storm basically hit an area diagonally through the town, with many households receiving little or no hail.  Within days, Clinton was bombarded with roofing company salesmen, descending on this town like a swarm of bees. These roofing companies came from every direction, even some from the state of Kansas.  Hail is a scourge to farmers, wiping a crop out in minutes. Of course, hail is nothing new.  The Bible tells of one of the worst hail storms ever encountered.   (Exodus 9:18-31)

Last Sunday was a beautiful day, truly feeling like Spring.  After such an inspiring revival last week, it was good to see so many people filling the pews.   Georgia Randall sang a beautiful solo, “The Warrior is a Child.”  Those who would like to bring an Easter lily to the church, in memory of a loved one, are encouraged to do so.  Easter will soon be here, and activities are planned for this most loved, sacred day.
Bro Tim’s message, “Keep Going,” with scripture from Hebrews 12:1-2, encourages the Christians to find strength from the faithful people that came before us.  We need to let go of the things that hinder our growth in the Lord.  Keeping our focus on God can help us accomplish this goal (1 Cor 15:58).  This nation of ours has been so blessed by God and yet there are so many that have turned from Him. There is nothing more important than knowing Jesus Christ as our Savior.

The Bible challenge question:  How did Elijah separate the waters of the Jordan?  (2 Kings 2:7-8)
