Golden Valley Christian Church

Sometimes surprises can be bad, and sometimes they can be extremely good!  Last Sunday, one of our faithful members experienced a total surprise.  To help celebrate his birthday, many of Chris Tucker's relatives attended the Golden Valley Christian Church morning service, as a surprise to Chris.  Chris was scheduled to do the communion meditation, but before he could get started, the congregation sang Happy Birthday to him.  It was a beautiful surprise, and the entire congregation was delighted to celebrate the happy occasion with him and his family.

The renovation of our vestibule is well on its way.  We are thankful to the men in our congregation who have painted the walls, giving a bright welcome to those who will soon be able to come in that entrance.  This week, the new interior doors and trim have been the focus, and we are looking forward to fresh, new carpet in the near future.

Good, informative messages of God's laws and commands, teaching the way God wants us to live, are the backbone of any church.  Bro. Tim's message, taken from Ephesians 5:1-12, was in that manner, being a spiritual message that informed and gave the listener a better understanding of their responsibilities as how to live as Christians.
