Golden Valley Christian Church

Do you know that simple things (like making a genuine, caring call to ask, "How are you doing?," or taking a casserole to a sick friend) are acts of Christian witnessing?  We do not have to be great orators to witness for Jesus, but we do need to follow His example of loving kindness.

Georgia Randall blessed the congregation Sunday morning with a faithful old song, "His Eye is on the Sparrow."  Bro. Tim started his message with a quiz.  We are familiar with the small things that help make our lives more comfortable, but we often take these things for granted.  Bro. Tim named some of these luxuries (such as vacuum cleaners, TV remote controls, McDonald's), asking what year they had come into existence. This interaction led into the morning message of "Developing a Grateful Heart."  The scripture was from Luke 17:11-19, concerning the ten lepers.  After the healing, only one of the lepers returned to thank Jesus.  We all make choices, and one of the best choices is to rejoice in our Lord, no matter what comes.  After our morning service, the congregation held their annual business meeting.

The Bible challenge question is:  "What was the nationality of the one leper who returned to thank Jesus?"  (Luke 17:16)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Our Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone #660-890-0252), and our website is www.goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
