Golden Valley Christian Church
We know our God is kind and forgiving, not wanting anyone to perish but all to be saved. In Second Peter 3:9, we are told "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." However, there is one sin that is totally unforgivable. In both Matthew and Mark we are warned about this sin. (Matt 12:31-32 & Mark 3:29)
Last Sunday, we certainly found out that Missouri weather can change in a few hours. What a difference one twenty-four hour period can make. The cold, wet day had a distinct impact on our attendance. However, the love and concern of Christians for others has nothing to do with the weather. Paula Phillips read a poem that touched every heart. Bro. Tim concluded this series of the parables of Jesus with the Pharisee and the tax collector praying in the temple. The Pharisee, very knowledgeable in the scriptures, was so proud of his goodness, thanking God he was not like others. The tax collector saw his need for God and asked for mercy. In the end, the prayer did not change the Pharisee, but it did justify the tax collector. Jesus tells us, ". . . everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." (Luke 18:14)

The Bible challenge question is: "How many days was Lazarus in the tomb before Jesus' arrival?" (John 11:17)
