The Kansas City Royals have become the talk of the nation.  A team that had been so far down on the list of baseball teams, it seemed impossible for them to be anywhere near the top.  But somehow, they became contenders, almost a miracle.  Now they are revered, with many thousands of fans.  The thought occurs, "Why is it, so many people do not revere our Lord Jesus as much as they do a baseball team?"  Concerning miracles, Jesus was an expert.  It's just a thought to ponder.

A big thanks goes to the "Potter's Wheel" bluegrass group for their concert last Sunday night.  As expected, it was a great performance, enjoyed by all.

We continued our second Sunday of "The Story" in our Sunday School and morning worship service.  Bro. Tim used the scriptures in Genesis to continue this story of God's plan to build a nation to bring His Son into.  It is amazing that God used an elderly gentleman and his wife (Abraham and Sarah) to be the basis for this nation.  In today's reasoning, a young, healthy couple would be chosen, but God's reasons are certainly not always in sync with our thoughts.  Abraham's faith was the real reason for choosing him, and we saw this even more clearly when Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son, Isaac, at God's request, as he fully trusted in the Lord.

The Bible challenge question is:  "How was Sarah related to Abraham, besides being his wife?'"  (Genesis 20:11-12)
