Dehydration of the human body is a serious thing.  It is a condition that can cause all kinds of uncomfortable symptoms and even, if serious enough, death.  People that are dehydrated can experience dizziness, confusion, weakness, and fainting--among other symptoms.  Drinking adequate water will stop that problem.  What about spiritual dehydration?  We seldom give that a second thought, but Jesus did.  He said, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink." (John 7:37)  We all have a soul that needs hydration.  Only Jesus can satisfy that thirst.

This is a busy time, and the church is involved in a number of activities.  A group of us went to Branson last Saturday afternoon to enjoy the production of "Moses."  Our youngsters are meeting at 6 PM on Sunday evenings, and the ladies Bible study continues on Wednesday nights at 7 PM.  The men's Bible study will not meet this Saturday, but will resume the following week, on November 5th.  Melynne Jones explained the "Operation Christmas Child" project, encouraging our congregation to contribute small items, which the children in our church will pack into shoeboxes and ship to needy children around the world.  We are also collecting cans of chili beans for the local Project Christmas Cheer.

"Complaint, Demand, or Prayer?" was the title of Bro. Tim's message, taken from Habakkuk 1:1-13.  This scripture was a dialogue between this prophet and God.  Habakkuk could not understand why God was not answering prayers.  Even today, we do not understand why our prayers are sometimes not answered.  There may be several reasons, including misunderstanding, our unbelief, sins, or it could simply be a delayed answer.  One thing we must accept is:  God knows best.  In "all things" we must glorify Him.
