Golden Valley Christian Church

When we think of it, we realize that God is the original artist and that His work is that of the master craftsman.  Just look at the beautiful landscapes He gives us in the fall.  We might wonder if that is His compensation to us for the cold months to follow.  With that said, even winter has its beauty, too.  We in Missouri are fortunate to witness all of the four seasons.  Also, another event is upon us.  Do not forget to turn your clocks back this Saturday night, November 1st.  Golden Valley Christian Church hosted a wiener roast on the church grounds last Saturday evening; all who attended reported a very good time.

We continued our study of "The Story" in both Sunday School and our worship service.  If you are not knowledgeable about the Bible, this study is a good way to learn.  We are studying the process by which God built a nation to bring His Son into.  Bro. Tim focused on God's conditions to come to earth to live among the people.  This involved 1) rules, 2) a dwelling place, and 3) requirement for atonement.  The rules are called the "Ten Commandments," the dwelling place was the tabernacle, and the atonement was the shedding of blood for the sins committed by the people.  This was done in preparation of sending Jesus to earth, that each of us might have eternal life.

The Bible challenge question is:  "How many were waiting in ambush to kill Paul?'"  (Acts 23:20-21)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Our Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone #660-890-0252), and our website is www.goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
