Golden Valley Christian Church

The early Israelites knew nothing about scientific evidence of outer space, but they did believe that God created the heavens and earth.  Last Sunday night, we were able to witness a phenomenal event--the eclipse of a supermoon.  This will not happen again for another eighteen years.  We might wonder what the ancients were thinking as they witnessed such an event.  As Christians, we believe our God put the principles in place that rule our universe.

The children at GVCC are such an important part of our church family.  Recently, the children sang a special, "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands," accompanied by Alyssa Tucker on the piano.  Last Sunday, Abrielle Jones and her grandmother, Marla Jones, played a piano duet for us.  We know the Lord loves these youngsters and the praise they give Him.

Last Sunday, a bridal shower was given in the fellowship hall of the church building for Nancy Snider, hosted by Judy Harris and Paula Phillips.  The room was beautifully decorated, and the refreshments were delicious.  Nancy received a wide variety of gift cards, along with many congratulations and well-wishes.

Bro. Tim's message, coinciding with our "I Love Sunday" series, was entitled "Sundays Can Change Your Whole Week," with scripture from Joshua 1:8.
