Golden Valley Christian Church

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord because he is like a tree planted by the water; it has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” (paraphrased from Jeremiah 17:8)  A drought was no stranger in the world of the Biblical era.  Our area is experiencing the worst drought in fifty years.  We watch in dismay as crops and gardens burn up from the intense sun.  We all pray for rain.  God will send rain . . . but on His timetable, not ours.

“Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again:  Rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4)  Even through these difficult times, the Golden Valley Christian Church has many reasons to rejoice.  We finished a great study on the book of Philippians and will start something new next Sunday night entitled “Share and Care.”  We encourage all to attend; you will receive a blessing through these interactions.  Bro. Tim’s message was taken from Psalm 63:1-11, emphasizing “Our Personal Worship.”  This Psalm was written by King David and shows the intensity of his need to worship God.  This is a reality for each of us, as it was for King David.  True worship brings us face-to-face with God.  God loves praise from His people; we need to keep this in mind.

The Bible challenge question is:  “What characteristic did the lame man in Lystra have that caused Paul to heal him?”  (Acts 8:9)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Our Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, morning worship is at 10:30 AM, and evening study is at 6 PM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone # 660-890-0252), and our website is www.goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
