Golden Valley Christian Church

With the passing months, summer has finally descended upon us.  Most people are planning vacations and other summer pleasures.  Hopefully, in all of this planning, Christians will keep the worship of their Savior at the heart of their activities.  Sincere worship knows no special time or season.  Let us "not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25 NIV)

In our Sunday morning worship, Marla Jones sang a beautiful song entitled "All Across the Sky" that should inspire all that listened.  In the morning message, "Bible Study for Growth," Bro. Tim pointed out the absolute necessity of studying God's word through the Bible.  The Bible was written by more than thirty men, on three different continents, in three different languages over a fifteen-hundred-year span.  Yet, there is complete unity, from beginning to end, in showing the salvation of man.  We do not worship the Bible, but it reveals Jesus Christ, the one we do worship, and it is essential for our spiritual growth.

Currently, our Sunday evening group is studying the book of Philippians, with Ken Jones as our leader.  A lively discussion is part of this enlightening study.  We encourage you to join us.

The Bible challenge question is:  "God only chose two kings; who were they?" (I Samuel 9:17 and 16:11-13)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street.  Our Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, morning worship is at 10:30 AM, and evening study is at 6:00 PM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone # 660-890-0252), and our website is goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
