Golden Valley Christian Church

The Golden Valley Christian Church has owned its own building for less than a year; in addition to holding services there, we are now able to utilize the building for social fellowship events.  Last Saturday, one of our faithful members, Ron Snider, was surprised with a birthday celebration in the dining area of the church.  A large crowd of Ron's family and friends were present to wish him a happy birthday.  At our worship service on Sunday morning, Ron's grandchildren (Sarah, Olivia, Abigail, Garrett, and Dotty Plesinger) provided us with some wonderful music, both vocal and instrumental.  This wonderfully musical family blessed us all.  We also celebrated Father's Day, with each father in our congregation receiving a small gift as a token of love from GVCC.  Our thanks go to Paula Phillips for graciously preparing these gifts.

Bro. Tim's message was entitled "A Picture of a Great Dad."  Fathers are the spiritual leaders of the home.  A father needs to express genuine love and have a positive influence on his children.  Choices have to be made to either grow closer to God or to draw away.  Children, as a rule, mimic their fathers and mothers.  Good choices are a necessity for the spiritual growth of their children.

The Bible challenge question is:  "What was Jesus' answer when the Pharisees asked, "Why does he eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" (Mark 2:17)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street.  Our Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, morning worship is at 10:30 AM, and evening study is at 6:00 PM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone # 660-890-0252), and our website is goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
