Golden Valley Christian Church

The last Sunday in April ended on a chilly, wet note.  We are all grateful to have a nice, warm, dry building in which we may worship our Heavenly Father.  God provides for those who trust in Him.  The many workers in our church family are still in the process of renovating our building.  God does the giving, but he also expects His family to roll up their sleeves and work!

Ken and Marla Jones provided our special music Sunday morning.  Their voices blended beautifully on a very thought provoking song, "I Should Have Been Crucified."  The song goes on to say, "Jesus, God's Son, took my place."  What a debt we owe to the One who chose to pay the penalty for our sins.

Bro. Tim's message was about "Principles That Make a Difference."  Although some people feel uncomfortable talking about money and giving to the church, this particular subject must be very important to God because the Bible has over two thousand verses about money and possessions.  We need to realize that all things belong to God.  We need to remember (1) who is in charge, (2) as we give, our faith increases, and (3) we need to do it now.  A thought to keep in mind:  "God is the owner; I am the manager."

The Bible challenge question is:  "What happened to Ananias and Sapphira because of money?" (Acts 5:1-10)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street.  Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Evening service is at 6 PM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone # 660-890-0252), and our website is goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
