Golden Valley Christian Church

God's wonderful blessings were abundant in the Golden Valley Christian Church on Easter Sunday.  We celebrated our first service in our newly renovated sanctuary.  The room was beautifully decorated with plants and a large number of Easter lilies.  We are all indebted to some very dedicated men in our church; Murray Gilbert, Rick Jennings, Tom Pullen, and Chad Williams spent countless hours in turning this room into a beautiful meeting place for God's people to worship.  Stephen Cross, Alex Jones, Ken Jones, and Tim Randall also contributed greatly to this work.  There were many women who spent hours cleaning and decorating.  Wanda Sperry donated a beautiful table for the front entrance of the building.  There is not enough room in this article to acknowledge all of the people who have worked so diligently.  We can only say, "We truly thank you for all the hard work you did."

The Easter morning activities (sunrise service, breakfast, egg hunt, Bible classes, children's program, and cantata) were all well received.  Although our choir, directed by Marla Jones, is small, they certainly delivered an inspiring musical about our risen Lord.  Bro. Tim ended the services with a communion meditation.  It is almost unthinkable that anyone could have left that service without a new dedication to be the best Christian they can be, and to love our Lord with all their heart!

The Bible challenge question is:  "Who was the first person to talk to Jesus after He arose from the grave?" (John 20:10-17)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street.  Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone # 660-890-0252), and our website is goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
