Golden Valley Christian Church
Warm spring weather has arrived early this year, but doesn't it make you feel good to witness God's hands at work in the beautiful flowering trees, bushes, and early flowers? Isn't it great to be a child of God? Sunday, the children of our church laid palm leaves at the foot of the cross in our building. Our choir gave us a peek at next week's service, by singing a "triumphal entry" song from the Easter cantata. There is so much planned for Easter Sunday. The Golden Valley Christian Church family is greatly anticipating the coming events. Most of all, praise God; we will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Last Sunday's morning message centered on First Peter 2:4-10, with the title, "We Are God's Building." Bro. Tim compared the renovation of GVCC's physical building with God's spiritual building, as an analogy. God wanted unity in His building, as we do in our physical building. God had a blueprint for His building, as we do in our physical building. Christ is the cornerstone of His building, while our physical building has a cornerstone, also. The physical building holds another building, a spiritual building within its walls. It is the real church--a spiritual building of believers.
The Bible challenge question is: "What charges did the high priest use to convict Jesus?" (Matt 26:63-65)
The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street. This Easter Sunday morning, we will start the day at 7:30 AM with a "sunrise" service in our newly remodeled sanctuary, followed by breakfast and children's egg hunt at 8:30 AM. Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship (including a short Easter cantata) is at 10:30 AM, which will now be our regular meeting time. Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone # 660-890-0252), and our website is goldenvalleycc.org. We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
