Don and his younger brother, Bob, lived on a farm with their parents.  Each day the boys would go into the fields with their dad to work the land.  One day Bob thought, "I hate farming."  So he packed his clothes, took all the money his father had given him, and went to the city.  Bob had a great time at first, but he ran out of money and could not find a good job.  Hungry and destitute, he returned home asking for forgiveness and welcomed by his parents.  This is a modern-day analogy of the "Prodigal Son" (Luke 15:11-31), about God's forgiveness for our sins if we repent.  However, God only forgives true repentance.  Are we as forgiving to those that trespass against us?  Think about it!

On Sunday, Bro. Tim's message continued the narrative of Moses leading his people from captivity.  The first thing Moses did in Egypt was to go to the leaders of the Israelites, getting them involved in this endeavor.  The first eight times Moses asked Pharaoh to let the people go, the answer was a resounding "No!"  But after all the plagues and the death of the firstborn son, Pharaoh finally realized he could not compete with God's power.  Only then did he allow the people he had enslaved to go.  What will it take for nonbelievers to finally turn to God?

The Bible challenge question is:  "Which apostle's mother-in-law did Jesus heal?'"  (Matthew 8:14-15)
