Myths are unfounded stories that many believe are true.  For example:  Years after World War II, stories were told many times that the Japanese people were ready to surrender before the atomic bomb was deployed.  The truth was that the Japanese people were ready to defend their land until the death of every man, woman, and child.  There are unbelievers today that claim the Bible is a myth, a collection of fairy tales or some people's fantasies.  Facts tell us a different story.  The Bible influenced much of the history of mankind.  Facts tell us God's words are true.

Last Sunday, Golden Valley Christian Church enjoyed a carry-in meal and a genuinely great time.  We also celebrated our minister's wedding anniversary.  Tim and Georgia answered eighteen questions, each one trying to provide the answer they believed the other would give.  Much laughter and fun was enjoyed.  Thanks so much to Tim and Georgia for being such good sports, and to Jo Ann and Georgia for coordinating the delicious meal.

Bro. Tim's message, "A Sinless Jesus," focused on the concept of some people today, that claim Jesus did not live a sinless life.  Some even suggest He was married to Mary Magdalene, and the narrative of Jesus turning water into wine was at His own wedding.  Many people do not want to be responsible for their own sin, and if they could prove Jesus sinned, it would vindicate their sin.  Satan is alive and well in our age, but He cannot be equal to God.  If Jesus had sinned, He could not save our souls, and Satan would love that.  Jesus did not sin, and because of Him, if we believe and serve God, we also will have eternal life.  Praise God!

The Bible challenge question is:  "How many pigs perished after Jesus cast the demons into them?"  (Mark 5:11-13)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Our Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone #660-890-0252), and our website is  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
