What kind of message will touch your soul on Sunday morning?  Do you want the "fire and brimstone" kind of message, or do you prefer hearing of God's love for you?  The Bible is full of both types of messages.  The truth is, we need to hear both kinds in order to know what God wants from us.  God is a loving and caring God, one that wants the very best for your life.  He is also your Heavenly Father who expects obedience.  The only way a person can have a truly great life and still obey God, is to know what He wants and try to do it, as imperfect as we are.

In our worship service, we were all delighted to hear Atticus, Abrielle, and Asa Jones, accompanied by Grandpa Ken on his mandolin, sing "This Little Light of Mine."  It is such joy listening to our young people, praising God in song or in word.

"When a Church Prays," with scripture from Acts, was the title of Bro. Tim's message.  The early church was a praying church, and God responded to their prayers.  When we pray, our prayers should include words of praise, thanksgiving, confession, and intercession for others.  In the early church, where there was prayer, there were results.  Today we should also expect results from our prayers.  This is one area of our lives we should not neglect.  God wants to hear from us.

The Bible challenge question is:  "What happened to the seven sons of Sceva?'"  (Acts 19:13-16)
