Golden Valley Christian Church

Praying is a vital part of living a Christian life.  God answers prayer in three ways:  yes, no, or wait.  If He does not immediately answer with a "yes," we tend to think He either does not hear our prayer, or does not care about us.  Saying "no" or "wait" is sometimes God's way of doing what is best for us.  Trust Him to choose the way that will be the best solution for you, even if it is not necessarily what you think you want.

Last Sunday morning, Mary Tuggle read two interesting articles, a factual one as food for thought, and the other for humorous enjoyment.  Bro. Tim's message, "The Church Jesus is Building," revolved around the means Jesus is using to build His church.  Utilizing numerous scriptures from the New Testament, Bro. Tim pointed out that even today, Jesus builds 1) through evangelistic activities, 2) through missions, and 3) from within.  We need to remember the church is not the building in which we worship, but the church is the body of Christians who worship there.

In spite of the cold, snowy weather, Tim and Georgia hosted an evening of fun and fellowship in their home on New Year's Eve.  What a nice way to spend the last night of 2012!

Our evening Care and Share time will resume this Sunday, January 6th, at 6 PM.  This is an informal service where everyone is welcome.

The Bible challenge question is:  "Why did Jesus wait so long to bring Lazarus back to life?"  (John 11:14-15)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street in Clinton.  Our Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, and morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone #660-890-0252), and our website is www.goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
