Golden Valley Christian Church

". . . He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." (Matt. 5:45)  We are all praying this "dry spell" will soon cease and we will receive one of God's good, soaking rains.  During the process of the renovation of our church, some new stained glass windows have been installed.  Paula Phillips, Ben Dody, and Wanda Sperry have donated these beautiful windows in memory of their deceased loved ones.

Last Sunday, Paula brought our morning special, singing "Blessed Assurance."  This is an old-time favorite with a wonderful message.  Bro. Tim was welcomed back after attending his son's wedding over Memorial Day weekend.  The morning message was entitled, "We Are Born Again to Grow."  Using scripture from a number of books of the Bible, including First and Second Peter, Bro. Tim emphasized that what is true of the physical man is true of the spiritual man.  In growing, both need to pass from infancy and adolescence into maturity.  There are no shortcuts to this growth of Christian maturity if we are to carry on the work of Christ.

The Bible challenge question is:  "What does Jesus say will happen to anyone who is angry with his brother?" (Matthew 5:22)

The Golden Valley Christian Church meets at 611 South Third Street.  Bible classes begin at 9:30 AM, morning worship is at 10:30 AM.  Our full-time minister is Bro. Tim Randall (office phone # 660-890-0252), and our website is goldenvalleycc.org.  We are happy to invite you to attend our services, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
